Rewinding Position

We’re looking for an all-star teammate to join our factory! If you are looking to learn new skills and are mechanically inclined or have previous manufacturing experience, we would like to talk to you.

The Rewinder position is responsible to set up and operate machinery in the production area with minimal supervision according to job ticket/work order details. Must be able to inspect the quality of materials and work in process as well as accurately complete associated paperwork(job logs). Must lead other employees in the production area by example of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty.

  • Reviews information on job-sheets for the diameter of the roll, cores, line equipment needed, quantity of rolls per case, and special labeling instruction.
  • Effectively setup machine and line equipment.
  • Responsible to ensure the machine is operating efficiently while producing products that conforms to quality standards.
  • Responsible for the quality control of rolls to ensure ink stripe, diameter, rings and how well the rolls fit into the case are up to standards.
  • Retrieves cores, boxes and other supplies and materials for the machine.
  • Responsible to ensure the machine is cleaned on a daily basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Previous production/manufacturing experience is helpful, however, not required. This is a day shift.

Experience and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; verified experience (one or more years) of working with and around complex machinery.

Authority

  1. Alert management of problems within materials, tool, machinery, etc.
  2. Ask for necessary supplies and resources required to complete the jobs assigned.

Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8 am - 5 pm with a 1 Hour lunch

Job requires the employee to stand, walk, bend over, twist or sit frequently. The employee is frequently required to use hands to grasp, finger or handle objects and reach with hands.

The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift / exert force from 5 to 50 pounds and push / pull to 200 pounds with assistance of pallet jack. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color determination.

Work Environment

Majority of time is spent setting up printing equipment, running machinery, and continuously inspecting print. This work is done in the production area and the environment can be noisy.
